Local Pages Engine
What it does, in full
The complete feature set — and, just as deliberately, the things it refuses to do.

The quality screen
It names the problem, and the page it came from
Every generated page is scored against its closest sibling — “100% similar to Boiler Installation in Lewes” is a finding, not a feeling. The fix list is specific: fill this slot, write this descriptor, make this section less templated. One click puts you in the editor at the right spot.
One blueprint, the whole matrix
Real pages that outlive the plugin
Design one template; generate every service × area page from it — ordinary WordPress pages, fully editable, resolved at generation time. Deactivate the plugin and every page still stands, links included. Your edits are equally safe: sync never overwrites a block you have touched.
And the schema cooperates: if Yoast, Rank Math, AIOSEO or SEOPress is active, the plugin wires its Service data to theirs — never a duplicate LocalBusiness.
The quality score
How a page earns its score
46
Held before publish — below the gate of 60
- Local content slot is empty
- No descriptor written for this area
- 89% similar to its closest sibling
82
Clear to publish
- Local slot: 64 words about the place
- Descriptor feeds the page and the score
- Similarity down to 41%
45
Sibling similarity
Five-word shingle comparison against the other pages generated from the same blueprint. The more your pages read like each other, the fewer points they keep.
35
Local substance
Filled local content slots, a written area descriptor, and something genuinely of the place. The part only a human can supply.
20
Thin-content floor
Enough unique words to be worth indexing, exactly one H1, and a meta description — through your SEO plugin if you run one.
Below the threshold — 60 by default, yours to adjust — pages are flagged before publishing. The free plugin warns; Pro can block.
What it refuses to do
No AI text generation. No calls to anyone’s API. No virtual pages rendered on the fly. No publishing anything automatically. No tracking — of your visitors or of you. These aren’t missing features; they’re the design.
Plain answers
Does the plugin send my data anywhere?
No. Everything runs on your own WordPress install. There are no external API calls, no AI services, and no telemetry of any kind. The same is true of this website.
What happens to generated pages if I deactivate the plugin?
Nothing. Generated pages are real WordPress pages and remain intact, editable and rendering — including their internal links, which are written into the saved markup at generation time.
Will it conflict with my SEO plugin?
No. Yoast SEO, Rank Math, All in One SEO and SEOPress are detected at render time. When one is active, the plugin suppresses its own meta description and emits only the Service schema piece, referencing your SEO plugin’s organisation data.
Can it overwrite content I have edited?
No. The moment you edit a generated block, that block is yours. The sync flow updates only untouched blocks and shows a per-page preview before anything is applied.
Why did publishing my page get blocked?
Its quality score is below your threshold, and you have Pro’s enforcement switched on. The pre-publish checklist lists exactly what to fix — usually filling the local content slot, writing an area descriptor, or making the copy less similar to a sibling page.
